Complementary Symptom Support During Chemotherapy in Metastatic Prostate Cancer
Patient Profile
A 72-year-old male with aggressive metastatic prostate cancer presented with documented metastases to the bone and lungs. The patient was undergoing systemic treatment with docetaxel chemotherapy and androgen deprivation therapy.
Baseline Symptoms
Prior to chemotherapy initiation, the patient reported significant anxiety related to his diagnosis and persistent bone pain associated with skeletal metastases.
Treatment-Associated Symptoms
Following the initiation of chemotherapy, the patient developed several common treatment-related adverse effects, including peripheral neuropathy, impaired cognition (often referred to as “brain fog”), severe fatigue, and insomnia. These symptoms significantly affected the patient’s quality of life and daily functioning.
Complementary Intervention
In search of chemotherapy symptom relief, the patient initiated Lucentra ONCO, an alcohol-free homeopathic liquid formulation designed to provide homeopathic cancer support by alleviating symptoms associated with cancer and its treatment.
Observed Response
After two initial doses, the patient reported immediate improvement in perceived energy levels and a reduction in anxiety.
